Darin S. Portnoy, Esq.
Co-Managing Member
Mr. Portnoy is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Portnoy was a solo practitioner prior to forming Schachter Portnoy, L.L.C. He represents hospitals, physicians, physician groups, and all other types of healthcare providers, as well as, governmental agencies, debt buyers, retail and commercial businesses in creditors’ rights, debt recovery, and contract matters. Mr. Portnoy regularly conducts seminars on collections, medical denials & appeals, and negotiation skills. He has also served as an adjunct professor teaching business law at Middlesex County College and Bergen Community College. Mr. Portnoy was a past Chairman of the New Jersey Members’ Attorney Program of ACA International. Mr. Portnoy serves on the Mercer County Alternative Dispute Resolution and Bench Bar Committees, and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), Mercer County Bar Association (MCBA), Receivables Management Association International (RMAI), Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA), American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), National Creditors Bar Association (NCBA), New Jersey Creditors Bar Association, ACA International’s Members’ Attorney Program, and the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA).
Joel S. Schneck, Esq.

Mr. Schneck is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the following districts: District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, Northern District of New York, and Eastern District of New Jersey. Prior to joining Schachter Portnoy, L.L.C., Mr. Schneck was a partner at a boutique Manhattan litigation firm where he regularly litigated highly contested business matters. Mr. Schneck focuses his practice on business litigation including complex commercial disputes, contracts, consumer/creditor law, employment litigation, collections, dissolution proceedings, real estate matters, and Bankruptcy law. He has successfully litigated cases involving civil RICO, professional malpractice, trademark infringement, patent infringement, foreclosures, telecommunications law, and related business disputes. Mr. Schneck is a member of the Mercer County Bar Association (MCBA), Receivables Management Association International (RMAI) , National Creditors Bar Association (NCBA) , and the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA).
Rachel E. Portnoy, Esq.

Ms. Portnoy is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Ms. Portnoy practices in the areas of creditors’ rights, collections, commercial and contract litigation in Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C.’s Hamilton, New Jersey office. Prior to becoming a Partner and the Director of Operations, Ms. Portnoy worked as a Legal Assistant at Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C. in various departments since 2014. Ms. Portnoy is a member of the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI) and the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA).
Grzegorz (Greg) Owsiany, Esq.
Senior Associate Attorney
Mr. Owsiany is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Connecticut. Mr. Owsiany practices in the areas of creditors’ rights, collections, commercial and contract litigation in Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C.’s Hawthorne, New York office. Prior to becoming an Associate, Mr. Owsiany worked as an associate handling collections, commercial, contract and construction litigation matters.
John Danziger, Esq.
Associate Attorney
Mr. Danziger is admitted to practice law in New Jersey. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Danziger practices in the areas of healthcare receivable recovery, Workers’ Compensation, PIP (Auto No-Fault), debt recovery, and contract matters in Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C.’s Hamilton, New Jersey office. Prior to joining Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C., Mr. Danziger managed his own general practice and worked as an insurance defense attorney.
Jason L. Wall, Esq.
Associate Attorney
Mr. Wall is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Drexel University School of Law where he graduated as a legal scholar. Mr. Wall practices in the areas of creditors’ rights, collections, and commercial and contract litigation in Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C.’s Hamilton, New Jersey office. Prior to joining Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C., Mr. Wall practiced as an associate and managed his own general practice handling patent litigation and copyright & trademark infringement, as well as general business litigation matters.
The attorneys are assisted by a support staff that includes paralegals, legal assistants, collectors, Board Certified Physicians, medical billers, certified patient account technicians, and clerical staff.
