Program Description
Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C. offers text message notifications to staff for urgent weather-related office delays and closings. This service helps ensure you receive time-sensitive information about office status during inclement weather.
What You’ll Receive
- Automated text messages regarding office delays, early closings, or full-day closures due to weather
- Estimated frequency: 0-5 messages per month (seasonal, weather-dependent)
How to Enroll
To opt in to weather alerts, contact Human Resources and provide verbal consent along with your mobile phone number.
Verbal Consent Process
When you contact HR to enroll, a representative will read the following:
“Would you like to receive urgent weather alerts from Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C. about office delays or closings via text message? If you provide your mobile number, you agree to receive these automated text messages. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Do you consent to receive these text messages?”
Upon your verbal agreement, HR will collect your mobile number and document your consent with a timestamp in our HR system.
You will receive a confirmation text message after enrollment:
“You are now enrolled in Portnoy Schneck, L.L.C. weather alerts. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.”
Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Contacting HR directly to request removal
After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
